Walk & cycle at Monchique

A day well spent in the unique surroundings of the Monchique mountain range.

Starting from the town of Monchique a 4 km walk takes you all the way up to the highest point in Algarve. The walk through this botanical garden with its subtropical maritime mountain climate is full of natural interest highlighted and explained by your local guide. 

The mountain top of Foiá is at 902 meters and there is time to appreciate great views to the southern and western coast and the northern interior before descending the granite slopes by mountain bike. The mountain roads are technically not difficult, but attention is required. 

This walking and cycling activity can be booked for any day of the week, all year round.
