Springtime mtb weekend & Guia marathon, Algarve

Come and see the Algarve at its best enjoying a mountain bike weekend in Albufeira and surroundings. A guided bike tour on Saturday and participation in a local mtb marathon event on Sunday will show keen mountainbikers the surprising trails along the coast and into the hills of central Algarve. Both rides can be done on 2 levels of technical and physical difficulty for everyone to make most out of their mtb weekend in one of southern Europe's best biking spots.

Other than mountain biking you can enjoy a comfortable stay in the charming seaside town of Albufeira. Your hotel is situated in the Albufeira town centre, right on top of the main beach. In the lively old town you will find a wide range of restaurants and bars to try local gastronomy or have a drink in the evening hours.

PROGRAMME

Day 1, Friday 11th April
Arrival at Faro airport and transfer to your hotel

Day 2, Saturday 12th April
09.30 hrs: Bike delivery and fitting at your hotel
10.00 hrs: Departure 40 km guided bike tour (technical difficulty 2/5, physical difficulty 2/5)
10.00 hrs: Departure 60 km guided bike tour (technical difficulty 3/5, physical difficulty 3/5)

Day 3, Sunday 13th April
08.00 hrs: Transfer from hotel to the staring point in Guia
09.00 hrs: Departure for Maratona Guia FC, 75 km
09.00 hrs: Departure for 1/2 Maratona Guia FC, 40 km
13.30 hrs: After ride lunch at the venue with all participants
15.00 hrs Transfer back to hotel in Albufeira

Day 4, Monday 14th April
Return transfer back to Faro airport
